Unfortunately, Florida requires all medical marijuana patients to apply for a card once every year for $75.

This is different than the medical marijuana certification done by our doctor. Our office will do the maximum-allowed 210 day (7 months) certification .  You will need a renewal certification from us after 7 months (faster, easier, cheaper), but that is different from your Florida card which should be renewed every 12 months.  Confusing, huh?  We make it easy!

To  make sure your application is accurate and gets processed without any delays, you should bring a Florida state issued ID, or an state ID from outside Florida if you are a seasonal resident.

Bring a phone or tablet to check your confirmation email while still in our office.  Also, make sure you know what email address you will be using to register with.

Please bring any copies of your medical records which would show your qualifying medical condition.  Old records, summaries, prescriptions bottle or statement, etc.

Please bring a phone or tablet if you want to check your verifying email while still in the office.  Also prepare a password you will use to register for the Florida database.  It must be 12 characters long and include each of the following:
• Lowercase letters (a-z)
• Uppercase letters (A-Z)
• Numbers (0-9)
• Special characters (!”#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|

HINT: write down the password you will use to save time during registration

In order for us to do your certification, you have to deactivate (“leave your current physician”) your previous doctor in the registry.  You can do this yourself before the visit or we can help  you in the office.  Make sure you know your Florida MMUR (medical marijuana use registry) username and password, so we can help you change it.  If you have trouble doing this, our staff will gladly assist you with this step.

Our friendly staff will help you start the application process right in the office!  You will be seen by our qualified medical marijuana certification doctor who will determine if you have a qualifying condtion.  Before leaving the office you should receive an email from Florida Dept of Health confirming that you are registered for the marijuana registry and can now proceed with your application.  Most patients can will be approved by the state and be able to go to a dispensary the same day.

Your entire office visit should take less than 30 minutes. If you qualify, our office will enter your information into the Florida medical marijuana user registry (MMUR).   You should then receive an email from the MMUR which will allow you to apply for your annual card online.  Most patients with a valid Florida license or ID are approved immediately and can go do a dispensary that same day!

Most patients with a valid Florida license or ID are approved and can shop at a dispensary the same day.  Your actual card arrives in the mail about a week later.  Seasonal residents may have to wait 5 to 10 business days for approval.
